Thac Mai, Dong Nai

Apricot Waterfall (Thac Mai) – Dong Nai Province

ShareTweet

Located in the Dinh Quan District of Dong Nai, Thac Mai is a small waterfall and hot spring set about 100 km/62 miles from Ho Chi Minh City. Also known as the “apricot waterfall,” Thac Mai is found on the La Nga River and is a popular tourist site for travelers of all ages.

Large stones and islets at this part of the river stretch for about 4 km/2.5 miles, offering beautiful scenery and vantage points of the water. People who desire adventure will be able to do some spelunking in caves along the river.

Voi Phuc islet is a large rock shaped like an elephant in the middle of the river. This spot is one of the ideal sites for capturing panoramic photos and vistas of the sparkling water and waterfalls. During the springtime, bright flowers and fruit grow on trees nearby, adding to the natural ambiance. There are no fees to enter the area.

Hot Springs

The clean, warm water at Thac Mai is excellent for taking a natural bath. People should try to limit their time in the water to a few minutes per session, so they don’t get overheated.
