O Quy Ho Pass, also known as Hoang Lien, can be found in the town of Sapa in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains. Rising 2,000 meters above sea level, the 50km mountain pass is considered one of the most mystical attractions in the entire region.
If you’re determined to find the best view in town, O Quy Ho Pass has everything you could ask for. Its sweeping, panoramic views of the terraced rice fields and mountains are awe-inspiring and make for great photo opportunities.
Located just off Highway 4D, the pass connects the provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau. Sapa town is located 17km away and is visible from the pass on a clear day. Heading east from O Quy Ho pass leads you quickly to the stunning Tram Ton Ho Pass.
