Guide to Go Golfing in Vietnam

Even though golf originated in Scotland, the sport is picking up popularity in Vietnam rapidly. The country boasts a large variety of terrain and environments, making their golf courses and resorts unique and beautiful in their own way. With about 40 operating golf clubs and many more in the construction phase, Vietnam is gearing to be a bucket-list destination for golf enthusiasts.

The Best Months for Golfing in Vietnam

For the country as a whole, the best time to golf in Vietnam is during the winter to early spring, from January to April. There isn’t as much rain during these months, and the temperature is moderate. Keep in mind that Lunar New Year also falls during this time frame, so there may be larger crowds in addition to more events to do.

Another good time of year to golf in Central Vietnam is in May and June. During this season, going further north, you’ll find more rain, and in Southern Vietnam, it’s too humid for most people’s liking. July through September will also be rainy, but cooler weather after a light shower might be appealing to some.

The least favorable time of year for golfing all over Vietnam is October through December when typhoons can appear unpredictably.
