Opened in 1999 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Dam Sen Water Park is a popular retreat where locals and visitors can take a dip on a hot, humid day for some reprieve from the sun. This facility is part of a larger one, the Dam Sen Park, but operates independently from the rest of the complex.
Designed to function as a traditional waterpark, guests can spend the day going on attractions, lounging by the water, or soaking in a pool.
Types of Attractions
There are 36 attractions at the water park for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. Adrenaline junkies love the fast, twisty slides and rope swing that launches users a distance of 10 meters into the “action pool.”
One of the most popular slides is the “Multislide Lanes,” which allows friends and family members to race each other down the bumpy path to the pool. Another is “Boomerang,” a 12 m/ 39-foot high and 25 m/ 82-foot vast structure that takes riders back and forth so fast that it can make them feel weightless at times.
A wave pool and a lazy river are there for those who prefer a more laid-back and chilled-out time by the water. There’s also a massage pool with 70 jets surrounded by a canopy of trees, creating the ultimate relaxation experience. These calmer pools are ideal for children too, who can ease their way to some of the bigger, action-packed things to do in the park.
There is also a kids pool, designed and themed to give little ones hours of fun without having to bounce around too much.
Pricing & Height Restrictions
A ticket has to be purchased for this specific area to enter the water park. Kids who are less than 0.8 meters tall can go in for free as long as an adult is with them. Also, people aged 60 and up can go inside free of charge with proof of an ID or passport. Some of the attractions have height restrictions, so families with small kids should follow up with that to see what slides have limitations.

Dining Options
As previously stated, no food is allowed to be brought in the Dam Sen Water Park, but small vendors and fast food options are there when a snack or meal is needed. There are other options for bigger establishments outside the park, which can be easily visited after leaving the water park for the day.
Dam Sen Cultural Park
The Dam Sen Cultural Park is another sector of Dam Sen Park. While it’s affiliated with the water park in name and location, it requires its own separate ticket to enter the grounds. Stopping by the water park could be the perfect activity to do after spending a morning on the cultural side of the property.
A day at the water park could be the perfect break for you and your family from walking the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Especially during the summer, this is a fantastic place to stop and enjoy some carefree fun.
