Da Lat is the capital city of Lam Dong Province in Southern Vietnam, which literally translates to ‘Stream of the Lat people.’

Being 1500 meters above sea level, mist covers the valleys throughout the year. The place features a cool climate, with tree marigolds and cherry blossoms in winter and an abundance of pine forests, earning it the name “City of Thousand Pine Trees”.
It is also known for its scenic display of orchids and roses, gaining it another name “City of Eternal Springs.” In fact, the Dalat flower festival is being held here every two years to showcase the rich floriculture of the city.

Nature-loving tourists enjoy the picturesque scenery, which boasts attractions like the Xuan Huong Lake, Dreamlike Hill, Langbiang Peak, Prenn Waterfall, Valley of Love, Dalat Cathedral, and the Golden Stream Lake among many others. Other popular attractions include the Linh Phuoc Buddhist temple, the nuclear reactor, and the Crazy House.
Aside from the beautiful landscapes and architecture of Da Lat, the diversity of cultural life also draws the attention of travelers. Ethnic minority people in the outskirts of Da Lat host cultural festivals and are always worth a visit.
