There are currently an estimated 35 golf courses in Vietnam with several dozen more under construction. Though the country isn’t regarded as a golf hotspot, Vietnam offers stunning courses thanks to its natural beauty and long stretches of coastline.

You can tee off all year long in this subtropical location. Whether visiting Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, or somewhere in between, they boast an array of golf courses to choose from in. The stunning spots are wonderful places to play.

Vietnam’s Best Golf Courses

Pack your clubs or rent a set. Here are a just a handful of the favorite golf courses around Vietnam, in no particular order:

Located outside of Ho Chi Minh City, The Bluffs is an 18-hole course that is on par with the world’s best. Situated on Ho Tram Beach, visitors are treated to sweeping panoramic views of the glistening ocean and towering sand dunes.

Though the two-and-a-half-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City may sound a little arduous, the awe-inspiring beauty of The Bluffs is worth trekking for.

Ba Na Hills Golf Club

Designed by Luke Donald, the Ba Na Hills Golf Club is a world-class golf course situated at the base of a mountain range about half an hour from Danang. It features over 7,000 yards of lush greenery, 18 professional-level holes, and flood-lighting for evening golfers.

The Ba Na Hills Golf Club won has won several awards. Upon its completion in 2016, it was voted the world’s best new golf course before picking up the award for Vietnam’s Best Golf Course in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2021.

The course is managed by IMG and features a training academy and an idyllic resort.

Hanoi golfers can enjoy BRG Kings Island Golf Resort with its serene lakes, vibrant greens, and elite-level hole layout.

There are 36 holes in total. The first 18-hole course opened in 1993, eleven years before the second. At the time, Kings Island Golf Resort was the only 36-hole course in northern Vietnam.

There’s also a driving range and a putting green if you want to get some practice in before your game. Other amenities include a clubhouse, an outdoor pool, a pro shop, a sauna, and a restaurant and bar. Since its opening almost thirty years ago, the Kings Island Golf Resort has become one of Vietnam’s most famous, and most beloved, golf courses.
