At the foot of the Truong Son mountains and surrounded by forests and tranquil hills, you will find the Alba Wellness Valley by Fusion, one of the most popular hot springs in Hue’s Phong Son Commune. Home to the Thanh Tan Hot Springs, the serenity of this site is perfect for those trying to spend a few days relaxing their minds and refreshing their muscles.
Thanh Tan Hot Springs
The Thanh Tan Hot Springs was discovered by the French doctor, archeologist, pharmacist, and botanist Albert Sallet in 1928. The natural stream winds its way around the foot of the mountain and through streets, finding its home in the green forests. It’s there that tourists can decide whether to soak in the warm springs or pure cool mineral water streams.
This twin lake system of cool or warm springs gives tourists an opportunity to visit in both winter and summer. In the cool waters, you can go tube sliding or swim at an artificial beach, but in the warm waters, you can unwind comfortably in the crisp fall or winter.
The hot springs have temperatures up to 68° C when they reach the surface, but cool down gradually as they flow through streams. These springs contain Calcium, Bicarbonate, Magnesium, and other minerals which are great for your health. Beyond relaxing muscles and joints, hot springs can also help arthritis and skin diseases.
Alba Wellness Valley
The Alba Wellness Valley creates an onsen-like experience with elegance and warmth. They also use the hot spring waters from the Truong Son mountains as the source for their hot springs and pool. After you soak a while, take an afternoon to participate in the resort’s yoga studio where you can work to find an inner state of peace with stretching and meditation.
Another option is reflexology, which requires specific pressure techniques to help reduce stress, increase circulation, and decrease headaches, anxiety, and bladder problems. Of course, there is also the Alba Farms where you can pick your own organic produce. And don’t forget to pick up Alba Water which is full of the minerals needed to help with health and beauty!
Catching up on a little R&R isn’t the only thing to do while at the resort. On-site and nearby, visitors can try heart-racing activities, visit distinct cultural sites, and try their hand at a few crafts.
